Race 1: Locally owned Our Apachee Miss looks better placed here following last week’s disappointing run and should get to the lead earlier and set the benchmark pace for the evening. Louie Finn has been knocking on the door with some consistent runs and could also be looking to lead while last weeks winner Montana Maestro will have the services of Warwick Edgerton. Value each way runner possibly Goezee.

Race 2: This $10,000 heat should be a quality race with numerous chances including front markers Kellys Beach who has been placed at Wagga and Leeton recently. Whostolemypidgeon won at Wagga following placings at Young and Parkes and looks to have a good chance here. Miss Official has been placed third on two occasions while Mammals Magic put two wins together at Bathurst and Dubbo before being spelled and resumes here.

Race 3: David Kennedy has the $3,000 claimer Quick Reflection well placed here. A winner of 16 races including a win at Wagga in June puts this fellow right in the mix. Pretty Foxy won last time out at Bathurst, the locally trained Soho Beijing not out of this with two eyecatching thirds on this track recently. Jet On Ice is also a claimer but has drawn an awkward gate over this shorter distance.

Race 4: This race also carries the big $10,000 prize tag and again a quality field of runners will face the starter. Dream To Share resumed with a win at Bathurst and followed that with a third at Menangle and has won five races. Badge Of Gameness resumed with a win at Leeton while Our Novak is a recent Bathurst winner and should be kept safe.

Race 5: Pole marker Killara Ninja stands out in this race from a good draw and may lead. Lucy Lamb has won three from five and will be forward in this, as will Chief Fairman and the improving Brocks Under Fire who won two at Parkes before a third at Dubbo recently. Amanda Turnbull has Hidden Courage engaged in this and she is certainly one to watch in whatever race she is in.

Race 6: This race has certain conditions that favour pacers that have not won more than two races valued at more than $3,500. This has allowed an interesting field to contest the 1720 metre event, they include back marker Doc Hosen Berry who has been out of a place once in five starts that include a win and a second. Rocknroll Queen charged home late last week to gain the judges pat while Lettuceonthebeach led for most of the journey in that race to finish second, maybe a change in placings this week, who knows.

Race 7: This is again a race with similar handicap conditions and looks to ideally suit Spare The Price who has had two very good performances since returning from Queensland. Running two excellent seconds at Albion Park, a third here last week was first class. Dangers to the expected favourite appear to be Point Danger who is in the new stable since transferring from Dennis Picker and is a recent Shepparton winner and Leeton placing. Mah Koo Loo Hambo is certainly a threat and will be in the firing line.

Race 8: The lucky last of the night is certainly a lottery. A C0 only class with no winners gives everything a chance. Little Archie caught the eye here last week to finish second, Bally Barfly had no luck in running to finish third and Bobbybobbyshaftoe has been placed third on two occasions recently. Throw in the polemarker Hawaiian Sun Rise and My Dolly Diva at long odds and you have the makings of a record breaking trifecta.
