The junior league team will be traveling to Yass on Sunday September 17 to compete against Goulburn, Yass, Cootamundra and Tumut.
The spring night comp will commence on Monday October 9. There will be grade mixed doubles a team of four where you have two men and two ladies. Our Tuesday night competition is fast tennis so please get your team together and enjoy 6:15 pm until 7:30 pm every Tuesday night followed by a BBQ.
Every player who participates in club competition needs to be a registered member of Tennis New South Wales.
Wednesday night the a-grade competition and flyers are advised to contact Colin if you wish to play from 6:30 pm till 8:30 pm each Wednesday night.
Our daytime tennis throughout the week is played on Wednesday morning starting at 8:30 am then Saturday morning from 8:30 am. All senior players and visitors are most welcome to come and have a game of tennis in the daytime.
Lady's tennis is on Thursday morning 9:30 – 11 am with morning tea. For young mum’s who are keen to hit some tennis balls and maintain some Fitness we have cardio tennis running from 9 – 10 am on Thursday please make contact with Monique Woodward or Boo Taylor as they will be able to give you details on what happens in the event each week.
Hot shots tennis and coaching on Saturday mornings from 9 – 10 am. Junior comp match play from 10 – 11 am. The cost is $10 per child. Monday match play competition is from 3:45 - 4:30 pm each week. If you wish to play please call Colin on 0438 228364.
Young Tennis Club will be going to the 2018 Australian Open in Melbourne. Anyone who would like to join the centre on its tour are asked to please contact Colin before September 25. The tour will depart from Young with a flight from Canberra to Melbourne for the event.
Our seniors tennis players will be taking a two night and three day tour to Albury to play tennis and to join in some social events from Tuesday October 25. Please contact Col for further details.
Tennis coaching is available on Tuesday afternoons from 4 – 5 pm for players 8 to 10 years of age. On Wednesday’s we have our senior primary and secondary school children who wish to play in a squad format.
Adult coaching available from 6:30 pm Thursday night by appointment. If you wish to have a game in tennis at the club out of hours please give call Colin. Court hire fee apply for members and non-members to the club.
