Emergency response exercise at Young airport this weekend

This Saturday September 23 from 8am to 3 pm Emergency Services from Young will be conducting a training exercise at Young Airport. The exercise will simulate an emergency response to a crop duster which has crashed at the airport spilling fuel and chemicals.

Personnel from NSW Police, NSW Fire and Rescue, NSW Ambulance, NSW RFS, NSW SES, Hilltops Council and the Australian Transport and Safety Bureau will be in attendance practicing their skills and response capability to a simulated emergency.

Superintendent Chris Schilt, NSW Police Local Area Commander for Cootamundra said that these types of training exercises are invaluable for our emergency responders to practice their skills and build on the fantastic relationships between our emergency services in Young.
