Saturday Medal of Medals: The weekend medal of medal event was held on Saturday with a small field of 14 players taking part. There was a stroke and stableford event held in conjunction. The stroke event winners in their respective grades were Liz Harding 71 nett and Libby Plumley with 75 nett. Leanne Slater with 34 points was the stableford winner. The medal of medal winner was Helen Spencer with 75 nett. Ball comp winners were Liz Harding (71), Gail Hanigan (73), Maxine McCormack (74) and Leanne Slater (74). The Elegant Timber Shutters and Blinds NTP on the 7th was won by Chris Keevil and Gail Hanigan won the Keith Simmons Engineering drive and chip on the 13th hole.

Wednesday – Medal of Medals: Wednesday’s event was the medal of medals for mid-week players. There were 17 ladies competing in the stroke and stableford event. Noela Hardman returned the best score of the day with a 68 nett to win Division 1. In Division 2 Larraine Nicolls, who has been playing consistent golf over the last month or more, had 72 nett to collect the voucher. In Division 3 Hazel Taylor had a 72 nett to be the winner. The stableford event winner was Margaret Kinlyside with 35 points on a multiple countback. The medal of medal play-off was won by Noela Hardman. Ball comp winners were Noela Hardman (40 pts), Hazel Taylor (36), Larraine Nicolls (36), Gail Hanigan (35) and Marg Kinlyside (35) on a countback. The Elegant Timber Shutters and Blinds NTP on the 7th was won by Leanne Slater with the Keith Simmons drive and chip on the 13th won by Cathy Marshall.

On Sunday the foursomes championships will be played with the draw as follows (surnames only): 10.00 – Spencer and Hanigan/Harding and Slater. 10.10 French and Stolhand/Blizzard and Keevil. 10.20 Minehan and Davis/Kinlyside and Stanton. 10.30 Hardman and Nicolls/Manning and Haughey. There are time slots available if anyone else is wishing to play. On Wednesday September 27 the event will be a single par for vouchers donated by the Lady Golfers.
