“Another successful wool exhibit has culminated at the 2017 Young Show with local wool growers from Young, Harden and Boorowa and surrounding districts donating their wool to Local Charity CanAssist through Walshy Wool,” David Walsh said.
Just over $1400 was presented to the president of the Young CanAssist branch Gail Hanigan who said she was extremely grateful for the donation.
CanAssist provides direct financial assistance to people in the Hilltops region and the families of those who have been affected by or are battling cancer.
The money from the wool exhibit will go directly to people within the local community to help with transport, medical expenses, accommodation as well as all of the other costs that need to be met while they fight the disease.
