On Saturday at the golf club, following a family tradition the Oliver family sponsored the Honor Oliver mixed 4BBB stableford.

John Oliver and family attended the presentation and provided some refreshments which was appreciated.
75 players participated and winners were Lavell Hardy and Rick Oliver the son of John and Honor Oliver with 45 stableford points.
Past family winners have been Phillip and grandson Jayden with Bill having been beaten on a countback once or twice.
In second place on a countback were Chris Fraser and Joan Coddington.
The mens individual winner was Geoff Connelly with 41 points and Cathy Aitken won the ladies individual event on 37 points.
Next week at the Young Golf Club
Next Saturday the event will be a 4 Ball Twister sponsored by Patrick Fitzgerald and Keith Duran.
Sunday’s medley will be sponsored by Pizza Hut and Monday’s medley will be sponsored by Vinnies Pizzeria.
Social golfers will be welcome over the weekend.
Coming up
The October monthly medal will be held on Saturday October 7 sponsored by Keith Simmons Engineering.
With the approach of daylight saving players are asked to consider participating in the teams competition over six holes and played through the week.
It is preferred that play be on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

This competition will start on Wednesday October 11 and run until just prior to Christmas.
