This Saturday is the Harden Kite Festival with a bus from Young and local schools and preschools all taking part in the huge event.

Young Public School, Young North Public School, St Mary’s Primary School and Wombat Public School will have professional kite workshops operating this Thursday and Friday allowing students to learn about flying kites, decorating and assembling kites and making their very own to take home or to the festival on Saturday in Harden. South West Slopes Credit Union have sponsored 150 kites for Young Preschoolers to decorate and fly in the lead up to the festival. New Medina College from Young will have a market stall selling dessert items for the event.
There is a free bus running from Young Railway station.
2000 free showbags will be handed out on the day which includes merchandise and voucher coupons for Harden businesses.
A $6 all day ride pass with unlimited rides on the large slide, jumping castle, rubber archery and Pass the Footy game is available.
