The work being carried out by the group of volunteers round the clubhouse looks terrific. Many thanks.
Last Friday Maurice Penson played in the nine hole comp and scored 23 points. Terry Shipp also had 23 points and beat Maurice on a countback. Interesting point to note that on Saturday Maurice celebrated his 90th birthday. I doubt that many golfers will be able to put an entry on their CV like Maurice. A small group of his golfing mates enjoyed a drink and some birthday cake in the clubhouse after play. Congratulations Maurice.
The club is endeavouring to stage a special event for players who belong to a social golf club. If you know of a family member or a friend who plays golf with a social club please let Bryce know so we can get the information out and about. Alternatively you might collect the information sheet from the pro. shop and send it to them.
Players who would like to have a game in the Veterans week might collect an entry form from the pro-shop and nominate. Additionally we will be looking to have available golf carts for our visitors so if you are in a position to offer help it would be appreciated. Kindly let Bryce know.
