The offer is part of a joint initiative with local vets, Young Regional Farmers Markets and Hilltops Council to ensure stray or lost animals are easily identified and quickly returned to their owner.
The free microchipping will be held at Anderson Park in Young on Saturday October 21, 2017 from 9am until 12pm.
In addition to a microchip, pet owners will also receive necessary information to enable pet registration, along with information on vaccination, and de-sexing services available in the Hilltops Region.
Pet owners are assured that the microchips will be implanted by a qualified person and are asked to ensure that their dogs are on a leash on the day.
Dog owners are advised to register their interest by filling out a form – available at www.hilltops.nsw.gov.au – to avoid disappointment on the day.
Council’s free microchipping offer is only available to residents of Hilltops Council. Proof of address may be required on the day.
Free dog microchipping will be held at Anderson Park in Young on Saturday October 21 from 9am until 12pm.
