It was hosted by the Hilltops Choir with Sydney-based guest presenter and choral clinician Dr Sarah Penicka-Smith.
Four contrasting pieces from the choir’s repertoire were chosen for Dr Sarah to dissect and give tips on how to improve the overall quality of performance.
The concert also drew on songs old and new from the Hilltop Choir’s repertoire conducted by its musical director Rodney Clancy.
A big thank you must go to accompanist Stewart Bruce whose fingers were kept extremely busy the whole time.
“I was made very welcome by all those present and enjoyed the experience very much. The Hilltops Choir is an excellent community choir and I was impressed with their challenging repertoire,” Dr Sarah said.
Hilltops Choir rehearsals are on Monday evenings 7.30 – 9.30 at the Young Uniting Church Hall. Enquiries – Tracey Clark on 0418 672622.
