It was another big week of golf on the course up at the Young Golf Club with the Pink Day event and the Foursomes Championships on Sunday.

Pretty in pink for breast cancer
Last Saturday Young Golf Club held a ‘Pink Day’ event to acknowledge breast cancer.
Nearly 80 players participated in a Four Ball medley twister and the winners were Cathy and Andrew Aitken on 71 points.
Best individual man was won by Craig Gault on 41 points on a countback and Penny Greaves won the ladies individual event with 37 points.
The day was sponsored by Col and Michele Blizzard. Many thanks.
Thanks also to the players who donated almost $200 towards breast cancer.
Sunday championships
On Sunday the men’s foursomes championship was held and the scratch winners were James French and Rick Oliver from Sam Page and Ian Broderick.
The handicap winners were Gary Anderson and Darcy Whinam from Phil Mitchell and Matt Williams.

Date changed
A minor hiccup has seen the proposed social golfers Ambrose planned for November to be moved to a new date next year. Details will be released when available.
Veterans week of golf
Players wishing to play in the Vets Week of golf please nominate this week with the pro-shop who have the appropriate entry form.
