This Sunday is shaping up to be a huge community day and Young’s Cherry Chase: Chase the Colour organisers are urging locals to join in the fun.
Committee member Ben Cooper said event organisers are extremely happy with the nominations that have been rolling in.
“We are encouraging all locals to either run, cheer or volunteer on the day,” Mr Cooper said.
“At this stage we have perfect weather conditions forecast for Sunday and we are urging everyone to jump on board and join in the fun!”
Young PCYC committee’s Susan Wilkinson is also encouraging locals to register online for the day’s events and take part in the fun for what is the PCYC’s biggest fundraising event of the year.
“We have people coming from Wagga, Canberra, Sydney and Albury and now need the locals to fire up and get involved,” she said.
“This is PCYC’s major fundraising event and we would love as many people as possible to get involved.”
Sunday’s events will kick off with the 10km fun run at 8:45am followed by the 5km fun run/walk at 9am and the ever popular Colour Run starting at 11am.
There will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family at Chinamans Dam throughout the day as well as the farmers markets setting up stalls around the venue.
Mr Cooper has said it is not too late to get involved in the huge and popular event with locals and others asked to register online at the Cherry Chase website www.cherrychase.com.au
For anyone wishing to register by paying cash or in person Susan Wilkinson will be taking registrations at Keith Cullen Oval from 6-7pm on Tuesday and Thursday night this week. All information about this event can be found on the Cherry Chase website or event Facebook page.
We are urging everyone to jump on board and join in the fun!
