Members, guests and associates from other local fishing clubs had an enjoyable evening. Member Phil Anderson received a prize from fishing club president Joe Chambers for catching a 1.20 metre Murray Cod at Wyangla Dam which was released on the day.

Part of the fishing club’s support to the Young Bowling Club involved the presentation of a cheque for $7,600 to Bowling Club chairman Stuart Freudenstein to pay for a new lawnmower.

With help from the Department of Primary Industries the ‘Dollar for Dollar’ fish restocking fund will allow the Fishing Club to release more than 5,000 Golden Perch into the Lachlan River near Grabine early next year.

All members of the Bowling Club are reminded membership for the Fishing Club is now due with new members welcome by just asking at the Club. Cost of membership is $5 for people over 16.

The Young Bowling Club Fishing Club would like to thank their sponsors for their support during the year: Young Bowling Club, Caltex Young, Elevations Restaurant, Petries Mitre 10, Donges Supa IGA, Workwear Centre, Mobil Depot – Metro Service Station, Horizons, Young Bowling Club Bistro ‘TB Catering’ and all the bowling club patrons who support us.
