Former Young resident Brian English now of Newcastle passed the two volumes over to Lambing Flat Museum secretary Sandra Jenner.
Both volumes have been signed by the author Sarah Musgrave and Nancy Keesing.
The two books are “The Wayback” published in 1926 by Sarah Musgrave and “By Gravel and Gum” published in 1966 by Nancy Keesing.
“The Wayback” is the story of Sarah Musgrave’s life and that of the White family who were the first European settlers on Burrangong Station.
Nancy Kessing’s book is a children’s version of life on an outback station based on Sarah Musgrave’s book and was printed in 1956.
