Residents and members of the Young RSL sub-branch gathered at Anderson Park on Saturday morning to hold a minute silence and a short service to remember those who have fallen fighting for Australia.

About 100 locals, veterans, those currently serving and local cadets attended the service some laying wreaths for those who shall never be forgotten.
The service was emceed by RSL sub-branch president John Walker, who spoke of the importance of understanding and knowing how much has been sacrificed to make Australia as safe and free as it is. Bribbaree RSL sub-branch and the Koorawatha – Wirramah RSL sub-branch also held services on Saturday morning for Remembrance Day. At Bribbaree locals received free poppies to wear in memory of those who served.
