Josh combined with his regular driver Todd Day to take out the opening event with Topsie Grinner and Sonofasis trained by Maurice Johnson of Murringo.
Josh and Todd then lined up in the final race of the night with the locally bred Life Sign gelding Nicstar who recorded his first win in only three starts for the duo to record another comfortable win over the Murringo trained Italian Eyes for Nathan Hoy with the back marker Tatibye filling third.
The mile rating of 2:02.2 minutes was again a good effort for the lightly raced pacer although only winning by a narrow neck margin, the final two quarters of 30.5 and 29.1 reflected the ability of this up and coming Young pacer and indeed will be one win to remember for owners Josh and Chloe Powderly.
Other winners on the night included a winning double for Goulburn trainer Dennis Day with his three-year-old colt Harry Day and the five-year-old mare A Sweet Success.
Scott Osmond drove the free legged pacer Boobalaga Road to victory in race four.
Neil Day gave favourite backers something to cheer about in race five with the five-year-old mare Georgie Rena defeating Dragon Stride and Shadoway.
In other news, congratulations once again to the owners of Don’t Think Twice who was awarded the prestigious honour of leading filly by the NSW Breeders Association at a lavish function at Menangle last Saturday night.
