The first games commenced on Saturday morning at 7am and continued throughout the day till after 8pm, except for a short Mass and opening ceremony on Saturday morning where most of the players and officials packed in to the Veolia Arena for a time of reflection.
Players returned to the courts on Sunday for semi finals and finals in their various grades.
For some of the officials and players this contest is another step in their journey to region, state and possibly national representation. For others it is a fun weekend and a chance to meet people and make friends from outside their local community also to taste travelling away from home with a group of people and learning to play as a team against people they do not know.
