Young High School Aboriginal Education Head Teacher Rita Karaminas said the awards are always a momentous occasion for students and parents alike.
"The Awards are organised by the AECG (Aboriginal Consultative Group) in partnership with the Department of Education, and the Young High School was proud to host them for the first time," she said.
"The audience was moved by the Welcome to Country spoken in Wiradjuri by our student leader Tori Apps. We would like to thank our parents who applauded the outstanding work their children have done this year."
AECG President Aunty Cheryl Fensom said she was impressed by the students and the ceremony.
"I was very impressed with the calibre of our students who continue to shine in this region and at the district level as well," she said.
