Local businesses reach regional finals

The NSW Business Chamber has announced the finalists for the Regional Business Awards, with Young boasting three.

Katie Rolfe from Framework Group Central South West in Young made the final cut in the Young Business Executive category.

She will vie for the winning title against five other finalists from Deniliquin, Wagga, Griffith and Leeton.

Meanwhile two other businesses - Pointsbuild and Framework Group Central South West - are finalists in the Excellence in Small Business category,

The two businesses are up against 11 others from Leeton, Griffith, Deniliquin, Wagga and Tocumwal.

Young and District Chamber of Commerce president Jim Cusack said he would like to congratulate the businesses and would like to wish them all the best at the finals.

“It just goes to show that hard work does pay off when they get recognised,” he said.

The winners of the 12 categories in the Murray-Riverina Regional Business awards will be announced at a gala dinner on Friday, August 15 at Bagtown Function Centre in Griffith.

The Chamber of Commerce will be sending representatives to accompany the businesses at the awards.

“We’re really excited, this is fantastic for Young and a big achievement for these businesses,” vice president Emily Bowker said.

Category winners from these awards proceed as finalists to the NSW Business Chamber State Business Awards in Sydney on Friday, November 28.

Over 600 guests celebrated the best of business at Australian Technology Park at last year’s awards.
