A local woman has escaped penalty after she walked up to another woman sitting in her car and punched her three times through the window.
Angela Long of Taylor Road, Young pleaded guilty in Young Local Court on March 8 to common assault, committed on February 20.
According to police facts, the 39-year-old saw a driver stop her car directly in front of Long’s in Jimmy Noonan Close about 6.45pm.
Long exited her vehicle and approached the victim, punching her three times in the head, where the woman sustained soreness to her right eye and right side of her face.
After Long admitted to the assault, magistrate Peter Dare SC found the offence proven but decided dismiss the charge.
