AS PART of a new community project headed by the Domestic Violence Reference Group, The Witness will be running regular photos of local groups making a stance against family and domestic violence.
The first photo of the series (right) depicts staff of the Young Health Service, Mercy Care Centre, Local Health Advisory Committee and Hospital Combined Auxiliary holding banners in front of the Young District Hospital, publically making a stance against family and domestic violence.
The project - also involving the Local Area Command, Young Health Service, Young Crisis Accommodation Centre, TAFE and other associated services - will be run over the next three months in the lead-up to an end-of-year function to be held in September.
During this time sporting clubs, services clubs, businesses and more will be invited to have their photos taken in support of the project.
