Local harness racing participants, Ian Butt and Mark Cullen, both returned to the winners circle at Parkes on Sunday afternoon after taking out the final two races on the eight race program.
Ian Butt was first to strike gold in race seven when his consistent pacer, My Girl Jo, took out race seven in dashing style in defeating Max Is Back and Lucky Shannon.
Mark had to wait until the final race of the day to produce an all-the-way win behind Waterbug who lead throughout.
The win saw My Girl Jo record a dashing 1:59.8 mile rate for the 1660 metre journey.
Both winners started from gate two and won in similar style, giving their backers great delight with My Girl Jo paying $8.40 on the NSW TAB and Waterbug paying $4.90 respectively.
The Parkes club will conduct their final meeting of the season next Sunday afternoon, while at the Young Harness Racing Club competition will return on Friday, August 26.
