Wet weather on Saturday saw no play at the Golf Club and so next Saturday will see the Monthly Medal event sponsored by Keith Simmons Engineering decided plus it will also be the qualifying round of the Norman Crawford matchplay.
The event scheduled for next Satuday will now be held on Saturday, November 19.
On Friday, September 23 we are holding a function in the Gleneagls room to acknowledge the contribution Mr Phil Cartwright has made to the Young Golf Club for 33 years as club professional.
Phil has done a fantastic job and we are hopeful of good support from members for this function.
Organisers of fund raising days and charity days would be aware of Phil's co-operation and it would be great for a rep from these many organisation to be represented on the 23rd.
Tickets may be purchase from the Bar at the clubhouse or downtown at M & M's Music. Please purchase a ticket early to assist with catering.

It will be conducted next Saturday instead, along with the Norman Crawford qualifying round.

Due to poor weather Wednesday, competition was held on Thursday instead.
First Michele Blizzard 37 points. On a count-back from second Joel Shields (3 under par) 37 points. Third was Liz Harding 36 points. Fourth was Wayne Hewson on 36 points on a count-back from John Jones 36 points. Balls went down to 30 points. Jackpot ball draw was won by Mark Crutcher.
