Combined Pensioners & Superannuants Association (CPSA) will be having a Community Transport bus trip to Binda on Friday, October 7 with changed details at a subsidised cost of $20.
The fee includes bus hire, tours and a free picnic lunch by Dot.
The leave time has now changed to 7.30am and Dot will not be taking morning eats.
Congratulations and happy 95th birthday to Kath Smyth who was presented with our club’s 95th birthday certificate and card.
We hope to see Kath up front for her 100th birthday.
Our eldest member is 103 years young.
Next meeting we will have the 95th birthday of Joyce Lamb who never misses any function for our club. Head office said that there must be something in the water at Young or that social interaction is so important.
CPSA will be having a Wilkinson’s Coach trip to Lake Alexandria, Mittagong and Goulburn visiting and touring two grand homes – Chinoiserie and Riverdale – on Friday, October 14 at a subsidized cost of $39. This includes the coach, all tours and entries, and a free morning tea by Dot who you can ring for the itinerary on 6382 2994.
Non-members are invited to attend and will receive the same subsidy.
Our Christmas barbecue will be held on Thursday, October 20 at the Chinese Tribute Gardens, rain, hail or shine with a menu of fillet beef and pork steaks, sausages, bacon and garlic bread with all the trimmings – cheese, fruit platter, apple slice with custard for sweets, and drinks including wine.
This is a great value for $10 and the limit is 50 members with the Community Transport bus picking up if booked with Dot.
Our Melbourne Cup barbecue will be held at Carrington Park on Tuesday, November 1 at a subsidized cost of $6 with a limit of 35 members for a two-course lunch with scones, jam and cream.
This is a ‘wear a hat’ day, and after lunch we will go to the Young Services Club for afternoon tea, watch the race and buy sweeps.
We work very hard selling raffle tickets to subsidize our functions as a non-for-profit club. Next monthly meeting will be a week late due to a public holiday on Monday, October 10 at 2pm. Ring Dot for more details.
