
Police are investigating the cause of a fatal crash that occurred in the state’s central west this week.
About 12.40pm on Monday, September 12 a 72-year-old man was driving a Toyota Landcruiser north on the Olympic Highway, Koorawatha. His 71-year-old wife was seated in the rear, and an 82-year-old man seated in the front.
The vehicle lost control and left the road where it crashed into a tree.
The 82-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Cowra Hospital before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital where he sadly passed away.
Police from the state’s Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and will conduct a full investigation.
