Maimuru Public School P&C president, Brad Edgerton, was presented a $200 cheque from the Young Services Club’s duty manager, Brad Pettit, recently.
The cheque will go toward the school’s annual Spring Fair to be held on Saturday, October 22 between 9am and 2pm.
Brad said the this is the first time the Services Club have supported the event, something he hopes continues in the future.
“A big thank you to the Young Services Club for their very generous donation,” he said.
Brad said funds raised from the annual Spring Fair will go toward new books and computers for the students at Maimuru Public School.
The village is hoping for another turnout similar to that of last year when a record number of visitors attended the Sprint Fair.
Those who made the short trip out to Maimuru Public School were treated to a family day out with plenty of local produce on offer, as well as activities for the kids. This year’s will be just as big, so be sure to support the event.
