Member for Cootamundra, Katrina Hodgkinson, has met with local paramedics Aaron Maloney and Nathan McEvoy to discuss workplace safety issues.
Ms Hodgkinson will be taking their concerns to Health Minister Jillian Skinner.
“We were very happy, it went well, Katrina agreed to write to the health minister and she also agreed to lodge a private members letter so she could do a speech about it in parliament,” Nathan said.
“She asked us what our concern was with the current Death & Disability Scheme and we told her our focus is not particularly on the money.
“It’s on parity to make sure the workplace is safer, to have better rehabilitation for injured workers to get back into the workplace and have better access to health and well-being support.”
