The Young Society of Artists Inc. members have organised the end of the year program to include a series of workshops and exhibitions.
Entry Forms are now available for the 33rd Annual Young Cherry Festival Competitive Art Exhibition and can be collected from the Young Town Hall, Southern Cross Cinema, Young Visitors Centre and South West Regional Library.
Prize money of over $3,000 has been kindly donated by local business and individuals, all sponsors names are listed on the entry form. Entry Forms are due on Wednesday November 9.
A new exhibition will open in Burrangong Gallery at the Young Visitors Centre on Saturday October 15. The exhibition will display a rich collection of prints and etchings from artists from across the region.
This exhibition will be diverse in subject and styles and one not to be missed.
The guest artists for this exhibition are the Artists in Resident, Visual Art Teachers and Students from TAFE NSW Riverine Institution. Exhibition Dates: October 15 -November 18, 2016.
This exhibition will be followed by an exciting exhibition of rural scenes with a strong emphasis on farm animals and the landscape surrounding them the “Art of Willaway” Exhibition with guest artist Jennifer Forster will open with a morning tea on the Railway Platform at 11 am on November 19.
A workshop for acrylic artists has been organized for Monday November 14 with Melbourne tutor Helen Cottle.
Helen is currently working as a professional Artist and Art educator in the Macedon ranges North West of Melbourne.
She is a popular and sort after tutor. Helen will begin the class with a demonstration.
