Marymead Foster Care is in urgent need of people within regional areas of NSW who are willing to provide a safe and nurturing home for children and young people between zero and 18 years old.
Marymead team leader, Darren Solomons said foster carers can be single people, couples and families.
“One of the biggest things across NSW is there’s a real need for foster carers to privde kids with a safe place to be because home is being deemed to be unsafe,” Darren said. “There’s anywhere up to 150-200 children a night in motels in NSW because state wide we just don’t have the carers to give these kids somewhere to go.”
Marymead provides care with all the support they need including initial and ongoing training and an experienced and dedicated foster care caseworker who will provide ongoing support and guidance.
An information session will be held at the Young Services Club on Wednesday, October 19 from 6pm.
