The grand stand was packed and a night of bench-marking was set at last Friday night’s Young Amateur Swimming Club’s competition!
The Maltese Falcon, accompanied by Sal and Fin had their work cut out to keep up the demand to the hungry crowd but they didn’t miss a beat – the barbecue was a sell-out. The girls had the marshalling area rocking along and fast start Crawford ensured the races moved along at pace.
Lane 5 time keepers set a new club record of seven perfectly times races. There are calls for a time keeper’s trophy. Credit must be given to Rick Baldwin for his pace setting for the early morning training runs during the week, move over Rob de Castella.
Most importantly: A big round of applause to the following swimmers, who achieved a PB.
