The popular Massed Bands Spectacular to be held at 5pm on the Saturday of the National Cherry Festival will be held in Boorowa Street outside the Town Hall for the second time in a row this year with more seating available to members of the public.
The shift from Anderson Park to the Boorowa Street location aims to provide a continuous flow of entertainment for the crowds already in Boorowa Street to watch the parade.
Parade forms are now available at the Visitor Information Centre.
Thanks for all the support in mounting a parade spectacle this year, and adhering to the request to keep in the theme which is, of course, cherries. People come to Young for the cherry harvest festival and they expect to see cherries everywhere.
Forms for the Young National Cherry Festival Motor Vehicle Display are also available at the Visitor Centre.
The display will be held this year from 9am to 2.30pm at the Young Town Hall car park in Lovell Street on Saturday December 3.
Most of us had a teddy bear or doll at some time in our childhood, so little wonder that interest in the upcoming Doll and Bear Expo on November 20 is running high.
If you still have a treasured bear or doll from the past, you’re invited to enter it for display at the expo. Contact Gail Hanigan who’s committee is organising the expo to raise funds for the local CanAssist groups.
The current exhibition at Burrangong Gallery featuring etching and prints from TAFE students and teachers is open for another week before it makes way for a new exhibition “Art of Willaway”.
Everyone is welcome to attend the opening of the new exhibition on the station platform at the Visitor Information Centre. Just come along and enjoy the art.
