Ms Nash was among the guests to attend the meeting in Young last Friday.
“I am delighted to see such a committed group of community minded locals put their hand up for these executive positions,” Ms Nash said.
“They are important roles which provide Nationals MPs and Senators with another opportunity to hear the positive input as well as concerns of rural and regional NSW residents,” she said.
Senator Nash said that it was particularly pleasing to see Chair Stephanie Cooke, Vice Chair Adele Offley, Secretary Dorothy Nash and Treasurer Thomas O’Brien put their hand up to serve on the executive of the Young branch of the National Party for another year.
Senator Nash also welcomed new Second Vice Chair Dr Tom Douch and Membership/Publicity Officer Frances Crowley on to the Executive for the first time.
Senator Nash said the two new additions would bring fresh ideas and a new perspective to important policy discussions.
“As one of the few truly grassroots, member driven political parties in Australia, the NSW Nationals greatly values our broad community membership base,” Senator Nash said.
She said the party also greatly values their input in the policy process,”
Re-elected Young branch Chair Stephanie Cooke said it was an honour to be given the chance to serve another term as Chair of the Young Electorate Council.
“I share the NSW Nationals strong commitment to ensuring that our regions, and people living outside of our major cities, are well looked after.
“Being a small business owner and operator, many of the National Party’s core values both at a state and federal level are also very appealing to me,” Ms Cooke said.
Guests at the meeting included member for Riverina Michael McCormack and NSW member for Cootamundra Katrina Hodgkinson.
