On Friday night Louise McKnight became the winner of the MND Fundraising raffle, driving off in her brand new Holden Spark on Monday afternoon.
The raffle was drawn by Jamie Harden from Harden Geelan during festivities at the Cherry Festival. The prize draw was overseen by Senior Constable Bill. Jan Foreman’s ticket was the first to be pulled out, but Jan decided that she didn’t need a new car and asked for a redraw. Jamie pulled out the winning ticket that belonged to Louise McKnight.
Three thousand tickets were sold with $15,000 raised to be added to MND’s total fundraising tally, Katrina Bannister said.
Louise was handed the keys to her new car while Jan was presented with a bunch of flowers to say thank you and Harden Geelan received a certificate of thanks.
