Last week Hennessy Catholic College’s Year 12 Hospitality class catered for the Young Senior Citizens Club’s Annual Christmas Luncheon in the college’s restaurant.
A two course lunch was prepared, cooked, plated and served by the students in what was said to be a successful day.
At the end of the lunch, the students collected the dirty dishes and cutlery from the tables, cleaned the tables, washed up and packed everything away.
The experience was valuable for the students who were able to experience what it’s like to work in a busy kitchen, as well as being able to practice their customer service skills.
“Being able to offer our first-class facilities, giving the students an opportunity to prepare and serve these special guests a wonderful Christmas party lunch was our absolute privilege” principal Mr Browne said.
The students received a lot of positive and appreciative feedback from members on the day.
The students willingly volunteered their day to make the day the success it was.
