It has been another busy week of bowls at the club.
On Saturday morning a total of 52 players were on the green when Young hosted members of the Canberra Labor Club on their annual visit.
A second game game was played in the afternoon, with mostly different players from Young taking part.
All prizes for the day were done by drawing names.
Thanks to those players from the club who supported this visit.
On Saturday evening the club’s combined presentation evening was held with a meal followed by the presentation of trophies to the winners of the club championships.
The awards were presented by Elsie Hines and Joe Bargwanna, the presidents of the women’s and men’s bowling clubs.
There were just eight players for Sunday morning bowls with Joe Read and Troy Summerfield having the best score of 20 points.
A total of 54 players took part in the Fishing Club’s bowls afternoon on Sunday.
After two games the winners of the main prize was the team of Ann Gardner, Bob Ruhl and Vic Brown and the runners–up were Graham Davis, Therese Ruhl and Cliff Traynor.
On Thursday afternoon there were 18 players in very windy conditions.
The winners of the vouchers were Tony Ruhl and Joe Bargwanna who won by16 shots.
The $200 jackpot was not won.
