Member for Cootamundra Katrina Hodgkinson has announced two projects in Young which are set to receive funding under the 2016 Community Building Partnerships (CBP) program.
Among the two community groups to benefit from the funding is the Young Girl Guides who received $6426 to improve storage facilities at the Young Girl Guide Hall.
The Young Dressage Association will also receive funding from the program.
Acting district manager of Girl Guides, Pauline Davidson, said the group was very excited to learn of the news.
“We are extremely excited!” Ms Davidson said.
“We’re just absolutely stoked because storage has always been a bit of an issue for us, and we hope to use some of the funding to use some strong but lighter weight tables for us to use in the hall.
“It’s all very exciting, the whole thing.”
