A safe and happy Christmas to everyone from the staff at the Young Visitor Information Centre. We look forward to helping you with all your requirements over the holiday season.
The Visitor Information Centre will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day this year, but will be operating as usual the other days. We open from 9.30am to 4pm on weekends and Public Holidays, and 9am to 5pm week days. There is also a variety of information on our website VisitHilltopsRegion.com.au
If you live in Young and other Hilltops locations and have visitors heading to the region you are welcome to bring them up to the centre, located at the old railway station off Lovell Street. At the centre you can view a wonderful art exhibition featuring local artists at the Burrangong Gallery. The exhibition is presented by Young Society of Artists.
You’ll find a selection of Hilltops Region Wines and produce, souvenirs, maps and brochures to assist with your travel plans too. There are also plenty of interesting spots to take your guests in the region. Please call in for directions.
Many people plan to visit Young for pick your own cherry experiences in the coming week. There are two orchards offering this experience over the Christmas weekend, including Christmas Day and Boxing Day. These orchards are Petal Falls and Hill-Lock orchards.
Many organisations have arranged school holiday fun over the coming vacation. These groups include the Young PCYC, Young Library, Southern Cross Cinema and Young Aquatic Centre.
