The Southern Cross Village Indoor Bowls competition has concluded after another successful year.
What a great finish it was with our regular bowlers joining other residents to end the year.
The glitter party hats, along with polka-dot balloons were a huge success. Thank you Dot.
On a sad note we lost three of our bowlers during 2016 – may they rest in peace.
For those who are interested, we are always looking for new bowlers to join us.
It’s always an exciting time for our bowlers waiting to see just who is going to be Bowler of the Year.
Camille Williams announced the winner as Rob Johnson and presented him with a trophy.
A very excited Vince Flanagan was most improved. He was seen two days later still wearing his hat and medallion.
Thanks Jenny for being our photographer.
A very big thank you to Kay McDonald for donating both trophies. Your kindness is very much appreciated.
A big thank you to Marlene Shea who assists me each week. It is a privileged to be a volunteer at the Southern Cross.
Bowls will resume on Monday, January 23. May all our bowlers have a lovely Christmas.
