The data showed that students attending Hennessy Catholic College attended school more than those at Young High School (YHS). Hennessy had a 93 percent rate of student attendance compared to YHS on 86 percent, both high schools still ranked lower than the primary schools in Young. 94 percent of Young Public School (YPS) students showed up compared to 93 percent at St Mary’s Primary School and Young North Public School (YNPS).

YNPS had the best Indigenous attendance with a 93 percent attendance rate coming in higher than YPS and St Mary’s on 91 percent, Hennessy at 84 percent and YHS at 80 percent.

Interesting numbers were found in the senior secondary outcomes. According to the My School site 100 percent of Young High School students who sat their Higher School Certificate were awarded their HSC where Hennessy Catholic College sat at 96.25 percent.
