When even the magpies sat flatly, stalely and wearily on barbwire fences with their wings lifted and their beaks open, who would want to tempt heatstroke on the course?
Next week will be a single par event, teeing off at 8 am sharp, global warming permitting.
The Club: The Clover Leigh Golf Club sits in a rural setting with bush and grazing countryside all around.
The club is located at Crowther, between Young and Cowra in the South West Slopes region of NSW.
