Young Tennis Club would like to congratulate Nick Schiller who will be representing his school and the South West region of New South Wales in the Under 12 state championships.

The state championships will be held in Bathurst this year where Nick and three other competitors will play off for the New South Wales Under 12 championships title.

Young Tennis Centre’s Riley Burgess and Lucy Foster will soon be competing in the Canberra – Goulburn Archdiocese tennis team in Wollongong where they will play as a part of the New South Wales Mackillop tennis team.

Last weekend seven players from the Young Tennis Club took part in the junior development series.

The Young Tennis Club congratulates Rachel Dorman who came in as runner-up in the 14 girls division.

Nick Schiller, Lucy Foster, Arabella Maher and Riley and Oliver Burgess have also been congratulated by the club on their great effort and performance during the junior development series in Yass.

Eight-year-old Arabella Maher was well and truly hitting above her age by competing in and winning two of her five matches in the 12-year girl age division.

The Young Tennis Club senior tennis tour to Airlie Beach in Queensland will take place on August 2 for a seven-day tour to Hamilton Island and Airlie Beach.

School holidays are just around the corner and coming up Young Tennis Centre will be a coaching clinic for four days starting on Monday the April 10. Any interested players are asked to book in before the start of the clinic. For booking please make contact with Col or call into the pro-shop at the tennis centre. 

Young Tennis Centre hold social tennis for senior players on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Tennis Hotshots is held at the Young Tennis Centre Saturday mornings during the school term. The redball competition and squad training sessions are held throughout the week during school terms.
