President Linda Willding welcomed members and guests at the last CWA SWG Council meeting on March 6. A President’s visit and FACTS Day is in the pipeline. CWA of NSW donated $50,000 from the disaster fund to Sir Ivan’s fire victims and have set up a committee with the Dunedoo personal to distribute the money as money also was donated from outside the branches.

Three applications for the Edna Sharrock Memorial Scholarship were received. Catherine Anderson from Cowra received the CWA Cowra Medical Grant, Phillip Group Scholarship was awarded to Emma and William Dixon from Quandialla Knitted teddies, calico dolls and knee rugs are still needed. President Linda reported on her CWA activities including two events on Cowra, The screening of Ben Hall the movie and Canimbla Branch 70th Birthday. Women Walk the World March 26 and the coming South Pacific ACWW Conference in New Zealand. Judy Houghton, the Executive Representative told of State President, Annette Turner’s busy schedule. Judy gave a talk of two women suffering Lyme Disease who have finally found a doctor from the Murdoch who is taking it on board. Treasurer Rowena Casey gave a report on donations given to Head Office and charities. A mini treasurer’s day for August meeting. All audited books and a copy of the minutes signed by the President to be ready finalised October 16. State raffle books must be back April 21. Ruth Daintith asked for an A4 size paper depicting the “Top of the World”. Remember Nepal is the Country of Study for 2017
