Council Executive Director Corporate and Community Lee Furness said locals should make the most of the last couple of weeks that the pool will be open.
“The pool temperature is still being maintained at 26 degrees,” she said.
“Council would like to thank all the patrons for a very successful season.
“The next season is due to commence on the October Long Weekend, later this year.”
But Young Swimming club president Felicity Bell said the pool would be of better use to the community if it were open all-year round.
"We would be in a better position to improve local swimmers abilities if they were able to train all year round,” she said.
“We will be lobbying for an indoor heated pool that we could use in the winter months"
