Last month Debbie Longhurst went under the blades for the World’s Greatest Shave hoping to raise $2000. A month later Debbie is very pleased to report that she has more than doubled her goal.

“Congratulations to the community and businesses of Young who have helped me raise over $5000,” Debbie said.
People can continue to donate up until the end of the financial year and are continuing to donate as recently as last week.
“To everyone who put their hands in their pockets to pull out change for raffle tickets, to the people and businesses who donated money towards the cause, I thank you,” Debbie said.
“To the businesses who donated products towards my monster raffle, valued at over $2000 in the end, I cannot believe your generosity.”
The winner of the raffle and the Town Hall Newsagent scratchie board were Mr Clem Read and Kurt Barton.
“I hope that those have said that they will do this next year, do so and get the same satisfaction I have had,” Debbie said.
