Mr Lee arrived in Young last Tuesday and conducted two day workshops at each of the schools as a part of a grant the public schools received as a result of a joint initiative between the education institutions.
Local Young Public School mother and farmer Jane Worner was behind writing the grant the schools had joined in to apply for together. Ms Worner also reached out and connected with fellow Rural Leadership graduate Mr Lee to organise him visiting.
Mr Lee spent the week teaching Stage three students all abut electronic projects.
Following on from their lesson students were then assisted by Mr Lee in open problem challenges that encouraged the kids to use skills, critical thinking, innovation and knowledge from what had been taught to come up with solutions.
