The Burrangong Bears fought hard against the Canowindra Tigers last weekend but injuries to key players left them easy prey for a hungry Tigers team.

Captain/Coach Matt Longhurst said the Bears played one man short for most of the game and fought manfully in defence.
“The Tigers had a great deal of time with a one-man overlap and our defence was great considering most of their tries were scored out wide off a couple of kicks,” he said. “A huge thanks to Mick Hudson and to Harry Warrick who was outstanding in his first game for the Bears.”

The Tigers defeated the Bears 42-6.

Coach Peter Campbell said the game was exciting to watch.
“Some great tries by the ladies this week with two of them being from long range,” he said. “The ladies should be proud of the way they played this week.”
