Friday night Young Junior Rugby league played under lights with the Sharks playing the Broncos in the under 7s match. In a fast paced match between the Sharks and the Broncos Jett shone with three tries followed closely by Lincoln and Caden with two tries a piece. Not to be out done Joe and Owen crossed for one each. Although Edward and Oliver didn’t cross they both were extremely close and very unlucky to not add to the try tally. Man of the match for the sharks went to Oliver Orr.

In the second game of the night the Eels took on the Panthers. It was a tough game for the Eels with some great tackling by all of the boys. Ethan scored his first try of the season. Other tries went to Rieken New (1), Jimmy Smith (1), Charlie Moncrieff (1) and Will Gibson (2). Man of the match went to Max Aiken.
In the under 9s Manly took on Souths under lights in what was a great game of footy. There was some great running up the middle by Harry Moncrieff and Darcy Loco which allowed speedsters Lachlan Batnich, Harry Coddington and Cooper Saines to weave their magic. Tries to Harry Coddington (2), Lachlan Batnich and Cooper Saines. Man of the match went to Cooper Saines.
In the under 11s the Dragons went up against the Roosters. The Dragons won this game 22-0. Tries were scored by Josh Cameron, Mark Hills, Justin Crisp and Drew Edwards. Man of the match went to Drew Edwards for just running rings around the opposition with his great steps.
I’m sure you’re all excited to get back to Keith Cullen oval on Saturday for a big day of home games against Cootamundra.
Try to be a little bit early too as we’ll start team photos. This week before the 13 and 15 boys games we will observe a minutes silence for Marie Cullen the wife of Keith Cullen. Marie was a life member of our club and along with a few other passionate mothers ran the canteen for a very long time.
