More than 20 Young residents sat down at 12.30pm with their lunch and enjoyed a low-key acoustic show from local performer Vicki Walsh.
A member of Young Theatre Company, Vicki sang original songs and a selection of well-chosen covers and said she hopes the initiative becomes a Friday lunch time "must do" for local music lovers.
"It would be good to see performers get together and support this venture and each other," she said.
Library manager Janice Ottey said the library is a perfect venue for acoustic concerts.
"A library is a neutral place for people to come and enjoy these concerts which will showcase to Young residents the talent we have in our region," she said.
Today's performer is James Cronin, the director of Young School of Music who will be playing a selection of acoustic guitar music.
