The afternoon was a great success with a good turnout and even a visit from Mr and Mrs Claus.
The Young and District Senior Citizens Club President Jill Large said they were thrilled with the turnout after taking a year off last year, and it was a bit of fun and gets everyone out of the house and socialising
“We were thrilled everyone came out and Santa paid us a visit all the way from the north pole he said he was in desperate need of some of Young’s sun,” she said
“Everyone’s had a great time and we play bingo and cards, mainly euchre and 500 anyone and everyone is welcome to come down and join in.”
Club member Robyn Bailey said she and a few friends come to the club regularly for bingo and come every year to the Christmas in July celebrations,
“Plus it was really cold at home and we didn’t have to cook or clean up,” she said
