Making the decision to return to racing late last year, Elliott and his family purchased a Wingless Sprint from veteran racer Bob Beattie .

After turning 16 in June, which is the legal age to pilot a Wingless Sprint, Elliott has already completed a handful of practice sessions in order to get as many laps under his belt as possible to prepare for his 2017-18 season campaign.

“I’m looking extremely forward to this new challenge and running my first race meeting in Wingless Sprints,” commented the Young-based racer.

“We’re just trying to learn as much as we can so we can be as prepared as possible for our debut.

“I’ve had so much help from my crew chief Andrew Dorahy, along with Ian Saville and Bob Beattie, who have so much experience and have been mentoring me and assisting me with setup.”

Commencing his competitive racing career in Motocross, Elliott later switched two wheels for four, moving into go karts on the tar circuits, before making the change to speedway and joining the 120cc Junior Quarter Midgets class in 2011-12.

He showed great promise, with his two seasons being highlighted by winning the Australian Grand Prix on two occasions, as well as the Victorian Club Championship.

Spending the next season running an XE Ford Falcon in the Junior Standard Saloons class, Elliott then took a break from racing over a couple of seasons, before he made the decision to return to the track for the upcoming 2017-18 season.
